International conference: (New) Audiences Practices
Catholic University of Lisbon, 24-25 October 2013.
The international conference “(New) Audiences Practices” intends to be a space for discussing the transformations and permanencies inherent to audiences’ uses and practices. It seeks to assert itself as a multidisciplinary event, looking for contributions from different disciplinary and methodological traditions across the academia and the industry. The conference will examine how the bridging of the research developed within the academia with the know-how of market research representatives can be valuable to better understand contemporary audiences’ dynamics.
The international conference will be co-organized by the research line “Media, Technology, Contexts” of the Research Center for Communication and Culture (CECC) at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal, and the COST Action IS0906 Transforming Audiences, Transforming Societies, in collaboration with the worldwide market research organization GfK.
Local organizers: Catarina Duff Burnay, Cátia Ferreira and Rita Figueiras.
More information will be communicated in due time.
